Trilobite appendages

Dorsal morphology

Overview of mayor dorsal features of the trilobite exoskeleton using two examples with a distinctly different morphology, illustrating how a similar body plan can produce very distinct forms. This was key to the enormous adaptive capacity of trilobites troughout their evolution.
