Trilolab is a collective of people that are involved with the various aspects of trilobites. Our primary focus is the Devonian of the Ardenno-Rhenish Mountains (Belgium, Luxemburg, France and Germany) and southern Morocco.

​We do not claim to be an academic research lab. Rather, we are a non-profit workgroup aiming to collaborate and share knowledge by means of fieldwork, education and (research) articles. Trilolab is a dedicated workgroup of Palaeontologica Belgica

​October 2025: New paper out on Cyphaspis Closing a regional gap: first description of the otarionine trilobite Cyphaspis from the Upper Devonian (Frasnian) of the Eifel Synclines (Rhenish Massif, Germany) in Neues Jahrbuch für Geologie und Paläontologie, Abhandlungen.
February, 2025: three spiny odontopleurid species from the Lower Devonian in Morocco were named after rock musicians and presented at the opening of the Rock fossils on tour show at the Dinosaurierpark Teufelsschlucht.
