Name: Ceratarges ziregensis van Viersen & Prescher, 2011
Stratigraphy: Ceratarges couche, Eifelian
Locality: Zireg

The commonest of three Ceratarges that occur in Zireg. This one is easily distinguished from the other two by the lack of a dorsal spine on the pygidial axis. The species has however, numerous thin dorsal spines, axially and abaxially, as wel as a series of secondary spines on the main pygidial spines. The specimen below has been meticulously prepared by Trilolab to show all these secondary spines. The specimen is associated with a disarticulated Gerastos lisanrasus and has the right librigena missing.
