Name: Cyphaspis heissae van Viersen & Prescher, 2014
Stratigraphy: Olifant Member, Müllert Subformation, Ahbach Formation, basal Givetian
Locality: Ahütte, Germany

"Devil horned" Cyphaspis are very rare in the Ardenno-Rhenish Mountains. They occur in just a few late Eifelian to earliest Givetian places. This species occurs as part of death assemblages (thanatocoenosis) together with a species of Gerastos.
