Name: Scabrellana asselberghsi (Maillieux, 1936)
Stratigraphy: Longlier Formation, Pragian
Locality: Martelange, Belgium
In the photo is the 340(!) mm holotype of this rare species. It was originally described as Dalmanites asselberghsi. Wenndorf (1990) noticed that it is not a dalmanitid but actually a homalonotid and erected the new genus Scabrella for it. However, the name Scabrella was preoccupied and a new name Scabrellana was proposed by Harzhauser & Landau (2021).
