Alfer van Rossum spotted this tiny odontopleurid a long time ago in the Resteigne quarry although specimens other than fragments remained elusive. This beautiful and exceptionally rare species was finally described and named after Thomas and Peter Taghon who donated the holotype cephalon for a paper co-authored with friend and trilobitophile Ben Magrean.
