Name: Nyterops hollandi van Viersen, 2007
Stratigraphy: Hanonet Formation, upper Eifelian
Locality: Resteigne, Belgium

Nyterops appears in the Ardennes in the basal part of the Hanonet Formation, just above the boundary with the lowerlying Jemelle Formation. As such, it is a marker trilobite in distinguishing between these two formations. Nyterops hollandi is a common trilobite in the shales of the Hanonet Formation which crop out in the Resteigne quarry.
