Name: Hottonops daumeriesi van Viersen, Taghon & Magrean, 2017
Stratigraphy: Jemelle Formation, middle Eifelian
Locality: Hampteau (Hotton), Belgium
This genus is characterised by the generally low cephalic morphology. The eyes contain 18 dorsoventral files with maximally 4 (or sometimes a small 5th) lenses. There are numerous pits on the cephalon and small terrace lines anteriorly on the glabella. To date, a single species is known with certainty, which was named after the late Guy Daumeries. There are, however, similar taxa that occur in the Sauerland. Unfortunately, these are only known from comparatively poorly preserved specimens.
