Family Acastidae
Genus Bradocryphaeus
Bradocryphaeus neptuni neptuni from the Frasnian of Lompret, Belgium.
Name: Bradocryphaeus neptuni hottonensis van Viersen & Vanherle, 2018
Stratigraphy: Grands Breux Formation, Frasnian
Locality: Hotton, Belgium
Bradocryphaeus neptuni neptuni from Lompret and Frasnes is easily distinguished from this second subspecies in having a wider glabella, the posterior curvature of the posterior border furrow of cephalon as it runs abaxially towards the genal spine, the presence of granules on the pygidial axis and
pleural spines, the well-developed pygidial inter-ring furrows, and the dorsally more angular section (tr.) of the pygidial pleural spines. Typical of both subspecies are the small fenestrae (narrow interpleural openings close to the axis).

Name: Bradocryphaeus neptuni neptuni van Viersen & Bignon, 2011
Stratigraphy: Grands Breux Formation, Frasnian
Locality: Lompret, Belgium
Bradocryphaeus neptuni neptuni was originally described from the abandoned Lion quarry near Frasnes. More specimens were subsequently found in the active Lompret quarry.

Name: Bradocryphaeus vanherlei van Viersen & Bignon, 2011
Stratigraphy: Moulin Liénaux Formation, Frasnian
Locality: Nismes, Belgium
This species had been known under the name Bradocryphaeus supradevonicus since the publications of Richter & Richter (1926) and Maillieux (1927). It was recently recognised as a distinct (new) species.
